Athletics
44 varsity teams competing in 26 sports through Ontario University Athletics (OUA) and U Sports. Over 900 student-athletes represent UofT. The Varsity Blues compete in sports including football, hockey, basketball, soccer, rowing, swimming, and rugby across three campuses.
Notable
The University of Toronto is Canada's largest and highest-ranked university, with three campuses (St. George, Mississauga, Scarborough). Admissions are program-specific -- students apply directly to a faculty or program, and acceptance rates vary enormously (Arts ~60% vs. Computer Science ~6%). There are no admissions essays or extracurricular requirements for most programs; evaluation is primarily academic. The "college system" at St. George campus assigns students to one of seven colleges, each with its own residence and community. International student fees are among the highest in Canada.
